Semester 1 Description

​

As the first in this three-part course for Leadership Cultivation, Spiritual Bootcamp is designed to prepare you with the necessary foundational tools for operation through Spiritual Disciplines. The outcome is for  the cultivation of Godly characteristics which are needed to sustain you as you move forward in the call on your life. You will also be challenged in your Spiritual Gifts in ways that are designed for you to see exactly what your were born with and able to achieve through God.  In addition, there is a writing course designed to improve communication skills which culminates with an assigned research paper.  Finally you will be learning how to hear the voice of God - How He speaks, When He speaks, Why He speaks. Come prepared to work - it's Bootcamp!

 

Semester 1 Information

2 Hours of interactive classwork per week via Zoom which includes:

​

• Spiritual Disciplines - These are practices that by design can lead to life transformation. Their purpose is to aid our spiritual growth as disciples of Christ and deepen our relationship with God. They are like training exercises for the spiritual life.  We will be studying & practicing Inward, Outward & Corporate Disciplines.

  • Inward Disciplines: Meditation, Prayer, Fasting, Study

  • Outward Disciplines: Simplicity, Solitude, Submission, Service

  • Corporate Disciplines: Confession, Worship, Guidance, Celebration

• Understanding Godly Characteristic via His Attributes and Learning to Hear His Voice.​

• ​Biblical Doctrines based on the Work of Jesus Christ.​

• Grammar & Writing Skills

  • Review of Basic English Grammar​ via Online practice & Research Papers

• Assignments i.e.:​ 

  • Scripture Memorization

  • Identifying Your Spiritual Gifts & How they Operate - Part 1

  • Umbrella/Goals - Part 1

  • Ministry Journals

  • Scope & Significance of Salvation

  • SWOT Analysis

1 Hour Monthly Mentoring Session with the Professor
